You know what, I’ve never met any who was anti-FA who wasn’t motivated by hate and the desire to make sure fat people experience as much pain as possible. 

There seem to be two kinds: the open sadist and the moral crusader.

The open sadist makes no bones about hating fat people and wishing they would die and enjoying their suffering. They’re like snarling, rabid animals. They like pain, they don’t deny it. They think fat people deserve pain, they own that. I’d almost appreciate the honesty if it wasn’t for the fact that these are the guys who have no problem seeing even disabled children as acceptable victims. I think of them as the biker gang of fat hate. 

The moral crusader dresses the same thing up and calls it “concern” and calls it looking out for people’s health and welfare. This particular predator wants to feel morally superior and feel like they’re a magnanimous, powerful soul deigning to use their time and attention to show their inferiors the way. It’s actually just a form of masturbating and then wanting to be patted on the head for it. This type cares about fat people’s health - until it comes time to spend money on fat people’s health or when that health isn’t weight related. Mental health for fat people doesn’t exist for this type of predator. Because to them, fat people don’t have human minds, human feelings, human emotions, human needs. Or human rights. I think of these guys as the abusive, embezzling, mega-church running preachers who see God as a revenue stream but want to convince everyone that they’re doing this because they love the Lord and you’re a sinner in need.

In the end if your opposition to a movement that’s about asserting that fat people don’t deserve discrimination, prejudice, pain, and exclusion is that it does fat people a disservice or promotes fatness, then you’re saying, “Look, fat people can’t just be fat and get away with it. They either have to be tortured or they have to get thin. They can’t go around just being fat and living their lives, that’s not acceptable!”

And that’s hate. When your object is to cause pain and death, that is hate. 

So, I say again. I’ve never seen anyone who was anti-FA who wasn’t motivated by hate.
