About two years ago, I listened to an interview Philip Seymour Hoffman did with Fresh Air on NPR. He talked very openly about addiction and explained alcoholism and addiction in a way that was so clear and eloquent and straightforward and honest. I will never forget that. He was one of my sober role models. Such an insane talent. This is sad. This makes me sad. Crying real tears for you today, PSH. Having a body is hard. Rest in peace.
Was reminded of that interview as well, which is still available here, the discussion about alcoholism/addiction is at the 23 minute mark. The entire interview is captivating.
