These awesome snow sculptures are part of the 2014 Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival in northeastern China. The annual event takes place over an enormous area covering 600,000 square miles. One of the most impressive pieces measures 117 meters long and 26 meters high. Although most of the festival sculptures have already been completed, the event doesn’t officially open until January 5th and, weather permitting, lasts until February 28, 2014.
