Lonesome Town ~ Ricky Nelson
A Pop music gem, truly, a bit of genius insertion in a flick’s soundtrack, mostly yes, and by a star who was written off as being nothing more than “puppy love idol”……sadly too true! My sister had a big like for Ricky and then she couldn’t stand him post 14 years of age! But the young Mr. Nelson could write a damn fine song — this is a just that a Pop classic and Garden Party was a witty reprieve for the star. You can Google his life story and sad end but I’ll leave that for y’all to check out yourselves. This the Sunday Soundtrack moment from the Flimwell Papers’ Music Corner.
