Yellow patches mushrooms (Amanita favoconia), on the banks of the Dismal Swamp Canal in Chesapeake, Virginia. Our recent soggy encounter with Hurricane Sandy has been helpful for mushroom hunting, if little else. I have never seen these growing so prolifically.
